For commissioner

Jeff Lunde

Jeff has lived in Brooklyn Park since 1998 with his wife Jodi and their two sons, who attend Champlin Park HS and Jackson Middle School. As part of the computer technology industry since 1995, Jeff’s roles have included International Sales, Technical Sales for Dell and Microsoft, technical engineering for design & support of systems, and IT Manager. He also spent 3 years teaching Computer Technology at Hennepin Technical College, and was a member of Education Minnesota while teaching.

Currently, Jeff serves as the mayor of Brooklyn Park. During his time as mayor, he has been able to unite the community by listening attentively to its needs and by working tirelessly to fulfill those needs.  He has been instrumental in making the community safer, more cohesive, and more successful.

Now, Jeff will apply his talents of listening and acting to Hennepin County. In his time as mayor, he has seen the needs that cities in the District 1 have. He wants to work towards fulfilling those needs, just as he has fulfilled many of the needs of Brooklyn Park.

Mayor Lunde is experienced and ready. He has had national acclaim. In 2019 he was named one of The Hill’s “Six mayors getting it done.” He earned that title by rising above the politics and focusing on the issues in front of him to get things done. Jeff focused on the community more than on his career or the demands of a party. That’s what makes him a great leader.
